Tasting Notes
"Expressive and lifted, the Atalon 2003 Merlot displays aromas of rose petal, sweet anise and mint, opening to pomegranate, black cherry and mocha. The palate is reflective of the nose, with a rich entry and solid core of acidity that lengthens through black tea and sweet tannins on the finish. Round and sensually shaped, the 2003 Merlot also has delineation and the framework to take it easily into the next decade." - Tom Peffer, Atalon Winemaker
